The Myth of the Republic

This project is a comment on the false nature of the Republic of Ireland. Cathleen ní Houlihan, a mythical representation of Ireland, features throughout and points the way inside the book to reveal an alternative version of truth about the Republic of Ireland, as told by Fintan O' Toole. O' Toole's article is presented across a booklet that can be pulled out into a poster illustrating the Myth of the Republic. While the style is reminiscent of fantasy art, it points out the unpleasant truths revealed in O' Toole's article. A divided land shows us both sides of the Republic — our false notions of a great republic and the reality where we failed.
